the bear almost does it.

Well we had a good crowd spectating.

The bear started off strong downing 3 wraps under 10 minutes. I think it was partly due to the cheers of the crowd.

He then slowed a bit and it took him about 7 minutes to get down the 4th wrap. Then on to the 5th wrap. He needed some coaching so who better then his eating coach.

So by the time that he finished his 5th wrap he had crushed his old record by 6 minutes. thats 5 wraps in 26 minutes. Once the 6th wrap came around the bear was looking like he was hurting.

by the end the bear ate 6 wraps in 44 minutes and 44 seconds and now holds a new record for most wraps put down in one sitting but in the end i was a little dissapointed because he didin't get the 6 wraps down at the 32 mark.

Ohh yea here is a good shot of a real bear eating a wrap.

Well thats it for now.

Back in the swing of things

School this semester is not fun. My classes are probably the most boring ones that i have had in my whole college career. Besides that my break was a good time, i moved all around the eastside. I spent some time in Mass doing some ski coaching/drinking for about a week and then moved on up to southern vermont and did some skiing if thats what you want to call it. It was in the mid 50s and there was hardly any snow but they managed to put up some rails so i was jibbing everyday. After i was through with southern Vermont i headed on up to northern Vermont to stay with Nate in Stowe. That was sweet, the skiing was actually good, and i actually got in some skinny skiing up the smugglers notch pass. I would have to say the descent down smugglers notch gap was the scariest descent i have ever done on skate skis, the only thing that saved my life was being able to shred some telli turns around the switch backs.

Here is a picture of my little guy doing what he does best.

Last week i decided to prolong my break and put base off for a week so i could focus on my studies. yea right! On tuesday i started base in the extremely frigid temps we have been experiencing here in D-town. On my first ride of the year i almost threw in the towel probably because i did a valley loop. I decided to give it another try on Wednesday and it started to come back together so i have officialy started my training for the 2007 season. Last night Richard, the Bear and I went to the rails on chapman hill and did some jibbing, i was trying to teach Richard how to hit them but they have some difficult rails there to try and learn on. The Bear took some pictures of the rail sesh so he might have them on his site.

On another note the bear is attempting to break his previous record of 5 wraps under 32 minutes at RGPs today around 3 o'clock so if your in town come watch. I have been working closely with the bear on his eating style and technique and i think that he can do it and maybe even more. i will have some photos later on.
